Celebrate Lincoln

It's a beautiful night to celebrate Lincoln, with food and fun for the whole family and many have come to see country music icon Rodney Atkins perform a live show.

Whether you come for the food, the games or the entertainment, this year's celebrate Lincoln has something for the entire family.  Gary Greenwood with event sponsor froggy–98 says the event is a perfect fit for the city of Lincoln and expects quite the turnout… “we're thinking thousands of people…how could they not for six dollars for Rodney Atkins. Not only that, you've got food, you've got drinks, all that's very affordable and then we though of the families with the kids' zone so it's the perfect event for the single person or the guy that's got a family,” Greenwood says.

The event brings people together from all over the state, not just Lincoln… Traci Parr and her family made the trip from Sutton to taste the fare and see the night's top act… “so far we've really enjoyed the food and running around and we're really looking forward to the Rodney Atkins concert,” Parr says.

Lincoln's very own Cactus Hill Band was on hand to get the crowd ready for academy of country music award winner Rodney Atkins and for the little ones who may not recognize the name, Celebrate Lincoln has something to keep them smiling, too… Jayce Franzen says “I like the rides, like the amusement things.”
