LINCOLN, Neb. A local chef with Bryan Medical Center honors Lincoln Fire and Rescue by preparing them a free 3 course meal.

This was part of Bryan Health’s 90 Acts of Kindness, which is a three month campaign designated to thanking the community.

"We decided that we wanted to celebrate our 90th anniversary, we’ll probably have a celebration for the 100th as well. But we did want to acknowledge our role in the community and thank the community for our privilege to serve them as an organization." Said Deb Boehle, Manager with Bryan Advancement Department

Each department within Bryan Health System is doing different acts of kindness like making homemade breakfast for the police department; cleaning up parks or donating food to the food bank. Executive Chef Nazim Kahn decided to prepare lunches for the fire department. He says he values the important work that fire and rescue departments around the country do and this is his way to give back.

"When 9/11 happened I was in New York City. I always wanted to cook for them and also this horrific scene that I see they just jump into the fire and save peoples lives." Said Executive Chef at Bryan Medical Center

Chef Kahn plans on visiting every fire station throughout Lincoln.
