Lincoln Police say a man in town to help Health and Human Services with child abuse investigations was arrested Monday night. 68-year-old Steven Preister was cited for public nudity and disturbing the peace.
Police Captain Danny Reiten says at around 9:30 p.m., Preister confronted four teenage girls, ages 14-15, as they were coming out of a stairwell at the Cornhusker Hotel. Reiten says Preister, wearing only a t-shirt, yelled at them for being too loud and continued to lecture them down the hall to their room. He says Preister was intoxicated.
Steven Preister is a director of a National child welfare center in Washington, D.C. He was in town to speak and provide assistance with child abuse investigations for Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services.
