A special guest visited fifth grade students at Adams Elementary during a school assembly. A children’s book author is inspiring them to use their imagination every time they pick up a book. Here’s Monday, March 16ths “Excellence in Education” report.

Chad Morris is a former school teacher turned author. His books are about fun inventions and kids saving the world, which got the students excited. He says if they use their imagination they can accomplish their dreams and most importantly find reading fun. Morris admits picking up a book wasn’t always easy for him, but he hopes his Cragbridge Hall Series will change some of the students minds.

“I like to read but this makes it even more fun because you can see books that maybe you should checkout,” says Adi Stoakes.

“We talk a lot about the power of reading and how amazing their brains are, because my books have lots of inventions. We compare the brain to an invention and how it’s really just the best thing out there and how reading is just fantastic for your mind,” says Chad Morris.

After Chad Morris left Adams Elementary, he then visited Humann Elementary, Rousseau Elementary and Beattie Elementary School.
