Collier’s Crew Loses Another Close One

Lincoln, NE-Despite esclipsing a 17 point deficit to 25th ranked Oklahoma, the Nebraska men's basketball team still fell 52-50 on Sunday afternoon.  On the strength of 7 first half 3-pointers the Sooners jumped out to a 36-21 halftime lead.  The Huskers then stormed back in the second half behind a strong defensive effort.  Brian Conklin hit 2 free throws to give NU a 45-44 lead late in the game, but Lawrence McKenzie hit a 3-pointer to give OU a 48-45 lead and Jabahri Brown scored with 11 seconds left to the Sooners a 52-48 lead which proved to be insurmountable for the Huskers.  Nebraska's now 11-6 overall and 1-5 in the Big 12.
