Columbus man dies in accident
A Columbus man has died after his car collided with a tree in northeast Nebraska. Butler County Sheriff Mark Hecker says the accident happened around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday about five miles north of David City.
Hecker says 32-year-old Jeremy Anstine was driving east on state Highway 64 when he crossed the center line, went through a field and collided with a tree in his 1991 Ford Escort. Anstine was not wearing a seat belt. Rescue workers took Anstine to Butler County Health Care Center in David City where he died.
