Pinkard, Garner combine on 3-hitter in Baylor win

LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) – Brooks Pinkard and Max Garner combined on a three-hitter and Max Muncy hit a two-run homer, leading Baylor to a 2-0 victory over Nebraska on Saturday.

The Bears (24-21, 9-12) won their first Big 12 series in Lincoln since 1997.

Tyler Niederklein (6-2) took a no-hitter into the sixth inning before Muncy connected for his sixth homer of the season.

Pinkard (4-2) allowed two hits in seven innings, and Max Garner went the rest of the way for his fifth save.

Nebraska dropped to 27-18 and 6-11.
