Councilman Jon Camp

Channel 8 Eyewitness News has learned Lincoln City Councilman Jon Camp is leasing a building to a so-called head shop. Exotica is located in the Haymarket in downtown Lincoln. Exotica sells water pipes and rolling papers commonly used by drug users. The store also sells how-to-grow marijuana manuals and pot culture literature. All items sold in Exotica are legal. Camp told Channel 8 Eyewitness News that he agreed to allow the sale of water pipes but he didn't know what they were used for. This story was brought to our attention after Exotica owners claimed Camp took a neon sign from the business after Exotica started a body-piercing business. Camp says he did have someone remove the sign because body-piercing is not part of the lease agreement. The State Patrol is investigating whether the sign was illegally removed from the property. The results of the investigation will be fowarded to Lancaster County Attorney Gary Lacey's office.
