Crews respond to several accidents along I-80

Crews are on the scene of several accidents along I-80 near mile marker 401. Authorities say there were two accidents involving a total of five cars within a mile of each other. 

The first one happened just before 8 this morning. Nebraska State Patrol troopers say traffic was backed up on I-80, which caused one vehicle to crash into an SUV. That accident created a ripple effect causing another accident with three vehicles. 

One person was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. Troopers believe slightly slick roads may have been a factor.
