Debate Over Unemployment System Contract
Nebraska's efforts to revamp it's unemployment system, is sparking some debate. The state has awarded the $8 million contract to and Indian company. Congressional candidate Matt Connealy says this is taking jobs away from Nebraska families. The State's position is the Indian company was the best for the job. And that their workers will live in Nebraska for two years. Twenty-five percent of their workforce will also be hired in Nebraska. The Labor Department says they followed the letter of the law, when it came to awarding the contract. And stress, they are not outsourcing any jobs.
