It was a tough summer for Fayth Jackson.

In June, the northeast rockets cheerleader suddenly lost her mother, the cause, still unknown.

“My mom was everything I had,” says Jackson.

This was the third big tragedy in her life.  Her father was killed in a car accident and her little brother drowned a few years later.

Jackson says, “I’m really digging deep to find the energy and motivation to keep going.”

Monday night, the Roughrider’s Motorcycle Group surprised the teen at a fall sports pep rally.

Roughrider’s president, Scott Von Minden says, “We’re in a position where we can help people so we like to do that.”

They presented the Jackson with the Rough Start Achievement award, 500 dollars in scholarship money and gift cards from businesses all across the city.

She says, “It was just so surprising.”
