Detroit Lions Sign Bullocks

ALLEN PARK, Mich. The Detroit Lions signed second-round draft pick Daniel Bullocks to a four-year deal.

The six-foot, 212-pound safety was selected with the 40th overall pick in the 2006 draft. He finished his college career at Nebraska with 226 tackles — ranking second all-time in the team's defensive back history.

Bullocks and fellow rookie Ernie Sims missed the first practices of training camp yesterday because they hadn't signed contracts.

The Lions drafted Sims — a linebacker from Florida State — in the first round.
