Donations Pour In To Provide Paramedics at Football Games

Since a Lincoln East student was seriously injured in a football game Friday night, there has been debate about the lack of paramedics at Lincoln Public Schools' games. The service had been cut due to budget problems. Since then, an agreement had been reached with the Lincoln Fire Department to provide the service for the rest of the season. However, it was uncertain as how the school system would afford it.

Residents and area businesses decided to step in. By Tuesday, they had donated nearly 15-thousand dollars to the Support The Athletic Emergency Response Fund. If you would like to donate, call the Foundation For Lincoln Public Schools at 436-1612.
