Downtown Aurora Fire Destroys Historic Building
Parts of a historic downtown building in Aurora came crashing down after a massive fire. The blaze broke late Thursday afternoon.
It happened inside a 103 year old building on the town's square. The fire destroyed the historic Old Fidelity building in downtown Aurora.
Eight fire departments worked together to put out the blaze. Two firefighters suffered minor injuries. Fortunately, there were no businesses occupying the building.
A couple of adjoining businesses did have some smoke and water damage. It's too early for investigators to look into what caused it.
Firefighters were on the scene through the night and morning watching for any flare-ups or hot spots.
Once investigators can start searching through the rubble, they'll try to figure out what caused the fire.
