Downtown Building Evacuated

Employees of the gold's galleria building downtown received quite a scare Friday morning. Employees inside the building were alerted to a suspicious package inside one of the men's restrooms. Nearly 3-hundred people had to be evacuated. An employee working inside at the time noticed a man carrying two suspicious-looking bags into one of the men's restrooms. A short time later, another employee walked into the same bathroom, when he noticed a bag in the corner with wires sticking out. After Lincoln fire crews arrived on the scene they did confirm seeing wires coming out of the bag. The bomb squad was then brought in to defuse the suspicious looking
bag. After further inspection fire officials quickly ruled out the possibility
of a bomb. Fire officials did want to remind people that with incidences like the London
bombings and others around the world, it is especially important to never leave
items unattended. The good news is that no one was injured during Friday's scare.
