Drivers sigh of relief, lower gas prices

Labor Day weekend gas prices are the lowest they’ve been in over a decade.
The dip in price means more time out on the open road for some people.
The average gas prices are nearly $1 lower than they were just one year ago. In fact, the average price for one gallon is around $2.50, that’s down 13 cents from just one week ago.
We spoke with one couple who says they frequently travel between Kearney and Missouri, and the drop in gas prices is enough to afford them an extra road trip this fall.
"By the time we get home we are going to stay a few weeks, with the low prices were going to head back to Missouri again it makes so much difference," says Less Thomas.
The last time gas prices were lower than this over the holiday weekend was back in 2004.
