Drug Money Seized Is Destroyed

The Nebraska State Patrol says more than two-million dollars of seized money has been destroyed. The money was found by troopers during a traffic stop of a van near Gretna back in April. The patrol says a drug dog hit on the 40 bags of cash, leading authorities to deem the money tainted.

The patrol turned the money over to the U.S. Treasury for disposal. The money was converted to a cashier's check and if no one claims the money, the patrol said they would use it to fight the drug war.
