Easter meal for those in need
A record number of people turned out for a free Easter dinner at DaVinci's today.
Even though it wasn't the traditional ham, nearly 900 people enjoyed pizza, pasta, and the spirit of Easter. That's nearly 100 more than last year.
The first people lined up two hours before they opened. The 200 volunteers and the DaVinci's family says the hard work was worth it. “Jesus gives to us year after year, and the community gives to us, supports us as a business year after year so we have a heart for the people Jesus had a heart for and we have a heart for this community,” Shawn Lohry says.
Today marked the 28th straight year for the DaVinci's Easter celebration.
