Eastern Nebraska Sees Rain, Western Sees Snow

While many of us in eastern Nebraska saw rain and heavy winds Sunday night in Monday, parts of western Nebraska are digging out after snow hit that region. The Nebraska State Patrol says interstate 80 west of Big Springs was closed this morning to the Wyoming border.

The Scottsbluff area saw nearly 8 inches of snow while the city of Sidney declared a snow emergency after 12 inches of snow fell there. And unofficially, the winter storm dumped more than 11-inches in Chadron.
