Erin Steinbruchel

Erin calls Clifton Park, New York her home but she was born in Zurich, Switzerland, which is probably why she loves chocolate. Her parents always said that she was made for the news business, because she loved talking. “I kept my friends updated on all the news…” Erin graduated from Vanderbilt University with a B. A. in Communications and continued her education as an intern for Good Morning America, WNYT(Albany, NY) and at WTVF(Nashville, TN).

As a reporter for the Channel 8 Eyewitness News, Erin says that every day is new and exciting and presents its own unique challenge, whether it’s meeting a deadline or figuring out the best way to write a fair, accurate and interesting story. “I love telling stories and helping people tell their side of things.” She’s even been known to practice her reports into her hairbrush.

Erin plays the violin and enjoys writing, reading, and exploring new places. Along with her love for chocolate, she also has a love for peanut butter and dogs. Her family has two beagles.
