The semester is winding down for most of the students and staff at Lincoln Public Schools. But for one administrator, she’s about to transition to an exciting new role at a new school.

"When the announcement was made, I was overwhelmed by the high school kids that approached me and said ‘I went to Culler’," says Michaela Hahn.

Currently, Hahn is the Associate Principal at Northeast High School, but in January she’ll be taking over as Principal at Culler Middle School.
Hahn is rooted in Lincoln, and has spent more than 16 years working for LPS.

Hahn shared some of her goals for the upcoming semester at Culler:
"To learn as much as I can about everything that they are doing. Ask lots of questions and observe. Make sure that I am supporting all the amazing things that are already in process, and be highly, highly visible to the students, the staff, and the parents as we transition."

Hahn started her career in special education. She’s been an associate principal for 6 years. This will be her first year as principal- something Hahn says she’s really looking forward to.
