Excellence in Education: Voices for the Future

The Lincoln School Board is taking on the next step in it’s Strategic Planning Initiative.
And they’re asking for your input!

Tuesday, November 1, the Lincoln School Board will hold it’s first of four public forums. Called ‘Voices for the Future’, the event will allow parents and community members to share ways to improve the district. Anyone can offer ideas and goals, as well as make suggestions to help LPS grow.

Board member Lanny Boswell says it’s important to include the public in the future of Lincoln schools.

"People will have an opportunity to express how they feel in a very open-ended way. We ask five key questions about our district- about what students should be learning and what skills they should have. We ask how people feel about our district on a scale from one to five. And we ask what we should be focusing on as priorities," says Boswell.

Nov. 1, 6-7 p.m.: Scott Middle School, 2200 Pine Lake Road
Nov. 7, 6-7 p.m.: Goodrich Middle School, 4600 Lewis Ave.
Nov. 10, 6-7 p.m.: Lux Middle School, 7800 High St.
Nov. 15, 12:30-2 p.m.: Mr. Zion Baptist Church, 3301 N. 56th St.
