Explosions hit London buses, subway stations

London Police sources say they suspect a bomb in an explosion that ripped apart a double-decker bus in central London.

Dow Jones Newswires reports police confirm explosions on two other buses.

Witnesses say the blast on the double-decker sent glass and debris flying onto the street as panicked crowds ran away.

A witness says the entire top deck was destroyed. She says she was in the front of the bus and heard “an incredible bang.” When she looked, she tells a British news agency “half the double decker bus was in the air.”

The bus explosions come after a series of blasts on subways.

Officials say the explosions have caused “terrible injuries.”

The subway and bus systems have been shut down.
