Fair Goers Get Rained On

The strong storm that moved through our area Sunday afternoon had quite an affect on the State Fair, forcing people to seek shelter. The storm came out of no where, but packed a punch. Strong winds, rain and hail pounded the Lincoln-area for over a half an hour Sunday afternoon. Thousands of people at the Nebraska State Fair were caught by surprise and were forced to find the nearest dry place to wait it out.  Even though some people ran for shelter, others decided they weren't going to let a storm ruin their fun. The State Fair lasts until Labor Day, rain or shine.
