Fallen Omaha Officer Remembered

The brother of fallen officer, Jason Tye Pratt talked of him to a packed Omaha Civic Auditorium Tuesday. It was Jason Pratt's funeral service. He died Friday after eight days in critical condition from a gunshot wound.

Pratt leaves behind his wife Stacy, and their two young daughters, Madison and Jordyn. Friends, family, and law enforcement from across the country came to Omaha to honor Pratt, and say their last good byes.

And it was quite a scene as people lined up for miles across the city of Omaha. They wanted to give the sergeant a final farewell and say thank you for his service. It took more than an hour for all of the cars to file in to the cemetery. Hundreds more lined the streets. Bag pipes played as his casket was removed.

There was law enforcement from all over the state to be at Tuesday's funeral. Dozens of Lincoln police officers also made the trip to pay their respects. A fund has been set up to help take care of Sgt. Pratt's wife and two daughters. You can donate at any Pinnacle Bank..
