A 22-year-old Clarkson man was killed yesterday in a single-vehicle accident on a paved rural road about seven miles northeast of Columbus. The Platte County Sheriff's office says the accident happened when the driver of the southbound feed truck apparently lost control. The wheels dropped off the shoulder and the truck rolled into the east ditch, coming to rest against a power poll. The man's name has not been released pending notification of family. The Sheriff's Office says it does not know if a seat belt was in use. The investigation is continuing.
