Fire Damages South Lincoln Home

A fire tore through a home in South Lincoln Tuesday afternoon. No one was injured, but plumes of smoke poured out the windows of the home on Kucera Drive. Neighbors noticed the smoke around noon and dialed 9-1-1. Firefighters were easily able to control the blaze, but not before it took away a part of the family. One of the family's cats died in the fire. Investigators aren't sure how the fire started, but they say it started in an upstairs bedroom. That's where most of the damage occurred. Officials estimate that damage at 85 thousand dollars.
