Fire In Adams, People Told to Boil Water

The people of Adams are waiting to see if their water is safe to drink. Thursday night, 500 people had to be evacuated after a feed mill caught on fire. After four hours of fighting the fire, a large part of the city's water supply was gone. So firefighters had to tap into the reserve tank which was shut down several years ago for bacteria.

Now residents are boiling water until they know for sure if the water is safe. The feed mill is owned by the Farmers Cooperative company in Waverly. The cause of the fire is unknown.
