Lincoln Fire and Rescue crews responded to a fire in a multi-complex home near 27th and W streets around 9 p.m. Saturday.

Upon arrival crews confirmed there were two residents inside the complex, it is unclear if other occupants were home at the time. No one was injured. Residents did lose their pet snake in the fire.

Officials say one of the apartments in the complex is a total loss. They believe the fire started in the bedroom. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Officials do believe it to be accidental.

LFR was able to distinguish the highly visible flames quickly once inside the structure.

This was one of three fires happening within an hour of each other. LFR was called back to the rekindling fire at 500 W. Cornhusker from earlier this afternoon. Also a reported fire in a laundry room on south 20th street.
