Former Assistant Fire Chief Fights For Job Back

The former Assistant Fire Chief in Lincoln is  fighting to get his job back.

Lincoln Mayor Coleen Seng put John Huff on unpaid suspension for ten days.

He was terminated January 3rd.

The city sent Huff a letter, stating they intended to fire him for his involvement in the purchase of fire trucks that weren't up to code.

That action led to the resignation of Fire Chief Mike Spadt.

Huff is meeting with the City Personnel Board in the council chambers.
