Former Lincoln man arrested for child sexual assault

Police say a former Lincoln man was arrested in New York for criminal sexual contact with a child. He's accused of having inappropriate contact with a Lincoln boy.

Officer Katie Flood says 36-year-old Cory Dieteman was arrested Wednesday by authorities in Cattaraugus County, New York on two counts of Criminal Sexual Contact. The arrest warrant described sexual abuse that occurred in Wabasha County, Minnesota in the summer of 2009.

Flood says Dieteman's arrest was the result of an investigation into inappropriate sexual contact between Deiteman and a fourteen year old Lincoln boy. At the time, the victim was traveling with Dieteman and others from the Lincoln area to a motocross event in Minnesota.

Dieteman was actively involved in the motocross community for many years. He was recently named as a suspect in a similar investigation involving juveniles. Police believe there may be more victims.  Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Investigator Cockle with Lincoln Police Department's Family Crimes Unit at 441-8980.
