Former Oakland Raiders Coach Interviewing For NU Job

The third candidate is former Okland Raider head coach Bill Callahan. Sports Director Jon Wofford spoke to Callahan's agent Gary O'Hagan tonight. He says that Callahan was interviewing with Nebraska at around 7:30 Wednesday evening. He also says Callahan would be a “perfect match” for Nebraska. Callahan not only has N-F-L experience but has Super Bowl experience. He led the Raiders to Super Bowl 37 two seasons ago.  But Callahan was fired after Oakland went 4-12 this past season. After the season. Quarterback Rich Gannon and receiver Tim Brown were critical of Callahan. Brown went as far as to accuse Callahan of trying to lose games so he would get fired. We'll bring you the latest on any coaching developments as they happen.
