Knox County officials say four men have died in a highway construction accident.   A news release from the county attorney's office says the men were constructing a drainage trench Friday on state Highway 12 near Verdel when it collapsed on them. The county attorney also serves as the county coroner.

Officials listed those killed as 24-year-old Travis Lunn and 35-year-old David Peterson, both of O'Neill, 61-year-old Gary Forsch of Spencer and 43-year-old Brad Kelly of Lynch. Autopsies have been requested.

A woman who answered the phone at the Sheriff's Office Friday afternoon said that no one was available to give details of the accident, but said it happened around 9 a.m.  No other details of the accident have been released.
