Lincoln, Neb. – Four Stars were named to play in the 2016 USHL/NHL Top Prospects game in Omaha, Nebraska, the USHL announced on Tuesday.

Ludvig Hoff, Grant Jozefek, Christian Evers and Peyton Jones were four of the 40 players selected to participate in the game on Jan. 12 at Ralston Arena.

NHL and USHL personnel cooperated to pick the roster, which will be divided into a Team East and Team West.

“The USHL/NHL Top Prospects Game provides a unique opportunity for the management and scouts of the 30 NHL teams to view the top USHL talent available

for the 2016 NHL Draft,” Director of NHL Central Scouting Dan Marr said. “The prospects are encouraged to showcase their skills and abilities amongst their peers in this competitive and entertaining environment.”

In his third USHL season, Hoff has 69 points in 103 games. The Oslo, Norway native is fifth in league scoring with 25 points this season. The University of North Dakota commit is a 1996 birth year.

Jozefek has 11 goals and 38 assists through 49 USHL games. The 1997-born Northeastern University commit is among the top scorers for first-year NHL draft eligible players.

Christian Evers spent two years with the USNDTP prior to coming to Lincoln. He has six goals and 18 assists in his USHL career and leads Stars defensemen with four goals this season. The University of North Dakota commit is a 1997 birth year.

In his second USHL season, Peyton Jones has posted a 2.29 GAA and .923 save percentage. Jones’ three shutouts give him the second-most in the league. He is a 1996 birth year committed to Penn State University.

“All four players are deserving of this honor,” Stars GM Jon Hull said. “Their individual skills and team play have helped them earn league-wide recognition and helped the Stars to a good first half of the season.”
