Friday Marked One Year Anniversary of Norfolk Shootings

It had been a day of sorrow and remembrance in Norfolk Friday. Several hundred people came to Norfolk's United Methodist church to mark the first-year anniversary of the US Bank tragedy.

Family members of the five people shot to death in the bank were among those attending the memorial service. US Bank employees, law enforcement officers and others also were on hand. Also, several people came out to the site of the old bank where a park commemorating those killed is being completed there. The park will include a large star, trees planted at each point and five granite memorials embedded in the ground. Each point of the star will represent one of the victims in the September 26th, 2002, bank slayings.
