The 20-year-old Lincoln man is fighting for his life after falling out of an ATV Saturday.
Those who know Eric Lomison say he is an all–around great guy. He's in critical condition at the hospital after hitting his head on pavement at the Lancaster Event Center.
“VOLUNTEERING…” That was Eric Lomison's last Facebook update before a tragic accident that left the 20–year–old critically injured.
Now, his Facebook wall is filled with messages of hope and prayer.
“Stay strong Eric”… “Prayers are with you…”
Those messages echoed by co–workers at Duct Medic in Lincoln.
“Eric's a great young man very clean cut straightforward as hard working as you could possibly be, very very dependable and all around a really good young man,” said Manager Jeff Sneller.
Saturday afternoon, Eric fell off the ATV he was riding while volunteering at the Lancaster Event Center. He hit his head on the road, fracturing his skull, and causing bleeding on his brain.
“We're pulling for him, praying for him, and I hope he has a good, speedy recovery.”
Sneller says Eric was a go–to worker who had recently enlisted in the army. At Lincoln North Star, Eric was a talented athlete. Beginning with football, but developing into a runner. His cross country and track coaches call him an overachiever.. A great kid with a good sense of humor.. A man who leaves a strong impression on everyone he meets.
“I remember hiring him and saying 19-year-olds haven't proven much as far as I was concerned so far, and he said, I'm going to change your opinion of that… and he did,” said Sneller.
We did hear from Eric's track and cross country coach at North Star. He said the team may also put something together for him at this week's end of the season banquet… We'll keep you updated on his condition…
