Fundraiser For Injured High School Football Player
It's been more than two months since Lincoln East high school football player Brady Beran suffered a brain injury during a game, and his family says he's making encouraging progress. Sunday, members of Brady's church youth group held a fundraiser to help offset some of his medical expenses. Two of brady's brothers were among the hundreds of christ lutheran church members who attended the luncheon. They say he is now walking with help, and talking to them all the time. They say it's been a hard couple of months, and brady still has a long recovery ahead of him. Brady is currently being treated at the Madonna Rehabilitation Center, building strength toward the goal of walking on his own.
