Fundraiser For Lincoln Family

With medical bills piling up, family and friends are rallying to support a Lincoln man who was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident last month.

Today, they helped Mary Walker throw a fundraiser for her husband Greg.

A little more than a month ago, he was riding on the back of motorcycle when it hit a culvert and crashed.  Now at Madonna, he's recovering from broken bones, a brain injury and doctors say he may be paralyzed from the waist down.

Mary says the support from her friends and family during this tragic time has been a huge help…”you realize that you have a lot more friends than you can just think of off the top of your head on a random day. And their friends have friends and Lincoln is an awesome community. People come out and they're all willing to support us and we're blessed, blessed to have their support,” Walker says.

To help with medical bills, both a live and silent auction were held.  If you'd like to help out the Walker family, you can stop by any Liberty First credit union to make a donation.
