On May 27, 2016 a two car accident near Eagle Nebraska injured three people including a little boy. Deputies say a Chevy pickup failed to yield at a stop sign hitting a blue Dodge on the passenger side. That’s where 33 year-old Riley Krull was sitting when it happened.

"When I woke up in the car I just remember hearing my friends son crying and blood everywhere," Riley Krull said.

Riley was life-flighted to the hospital with critical injuries. He had head trauma, blood loss, and his left arm was partially severed. His mom Denise Archer was devastated when she heard the news.

"They said they didn’t know if they were going to save his arm. I said I don’t care just save his life, we can deal with the rest," Denise Archer said.

Thankfully everyone survived and doctors were able to save Riley’s arm, but he had to spend a month in the hospital and undergo about a dozen surgeries. To make matters worst, his home was broken into and his things were stolen.

Now Riley’s mother is putting together a fundraiser for the single father who is unable to work, and has a massive amount of household and medical bills piling up.

"Grateful, so grateful, for all the help from her and everyone else. The community has been overwhelming with support," Riley said.

Riley is on the road to recovery but he carries a heavy burden and needs your help.

If you want to help out a good cause the fundraiser is this Saturday at North Heidelberg’s, 4620 Blair Ave, a sports bar in Lincoln. There will be a silent auction, raffle, and a free poker game.
