At its peak in the '90's, Goodyear employed roughly 23-hundred people in Lincoln. That number has now almost been cut in half. The phase-out of the hose-manufacturing division at the main plant led to more than 450 jobs leaving Lincoln since 2002. Now, the closing of the air park distribution center has Goodyear employees reeling again. Again – these latest layoffs are only at the Goodyear warehouse in air park. Jobs at the main plant near 56th and Cornhusker are 'not' affected by the distribution center closing.
