Governor Gives State of the State Address

Governor Mike Johanns gave an ambitious outline for senators at the Capitol Thursday. It's one that doesn't include tax increases or big cuts. He gave his State of the State Address in front of the legislature Thursday morning.

Here are some of the main points: Reform the child welfare system. Study a twenty-two year old law that prohibits corporations from owning farmland. And close two mental health regional centers and move toward home based care.
