A presidential candidate came to Omaha Wednesday night, as a wanted fugitive.

Jill Stein brought her campaign to Metro Community College.

Her visit came one day after authorities in North Dakota accused her of spray-painting construction equipment during a protest against the Dakota Access Pipeline.

Officials there want to charge her with misdemeanor trespassing and criminal mischief.

In Omaha Wednesday, her message was about the importance of being included in the presidential conversation.

"There are only four candidates so we will be working very hard to get into the debates to actually empower voters," said Stein.

Stein is one of four presidential candidates who will be listed on  the Nebraska ballot, along with Libertarian Gary Johnson and major party candidates Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton.
