Guns Pulled On Lincoln Women In Two Seperate Cases

In two separate incidents over the weekend, Lincoln Police say two women were followed home and confronted at gun point.

Police say the incidents happened early Sunday morning.   Both women reported they were followed by sports utility vehicles (suv's)  and confronted by men wearing bandanas to hide their faces.

The first incident happened around 1:30 in the morning near 70th and Glenoaks street just north of old cheney road.

Authorities say the woman noticed a dark suv was following her.  Police say the vehicle then sped up, blocked the woman on the street and started walking towards her vehicle, holding a gun.

The woman says the suspect was a white male who wore a bandana over his face and the woman was able to reverse and drive away.

The second incident happened around four a.m. Sunday morning.

An 18-year-old woman reported a white suv following her.

Once she pulled into her driveway near 40th and old cheney, police say she was confronted by two-black males wearing bandanas over their faces.

Police say one of the suspects was holding a gun and demanded money from the victim. The suspect took the woman's cell phone that was worth 200-dollars.  Police say they don't know if these incidents are related.
