Health Department Distributing More Flu Shots
The Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department will be distributing more flu shots to high risk individuals.
From Monday, November 8th to Friday, November 12th, the will continue to provide shots to children from 6-23 months of age. During the week, they will also distribute shots to high risk children from the ages of 2 -18 years old. In order to get a high-risk child over the age of 2 vaccinated, you must provide written physicians orders. The shots are available at the Department's main office at 3140 N Street between the hours of 8:00 am and 3 PM. There is an administration fee of $10.
The Department will also be distributing the flu and pneumocacal polysaccharide vaccines to high risk adults on Saturday, November 13th. The clinic will be held at Lincoln East High School from 8 am to 1 PM. Those who are not on medicare will be charged a flat fee of $17 for the flu vaccine and $26 for the pneumocacal polysaccharide vaccine.
