Help students off to a good start by stuffing the bus
Many area school children start the year off without the necessary supplies to be successful in school. Pens, pencils, paper, notebooks, and binders are essential so students can take notes, organize their work, and properly do their homework.
For the third year, Raising Cane's, Latsch's Office Products and Channel 8 KLKN-TV are joining together to conduct a school supply drive, so as many students as possible will get off on the right foot as they start their school year this fall.
You can help by dropping off school supplies at the Raising Cane's on 48th & R between now and August 3th. Anyone donating will get a voucher for a 21oz lemonade. Or, on August 3th, a bus will be in the parking lot so you can help Stuff the Bus on that day. Channel 8 Eyewitness News Chief Meteorologist Kevin Coskren will be there during the 6PM newscast.
If you are a Latsch's customer, you have a unique opportunity to help kids in need. Just add extra supplies to any order you place with Latsch's and these will be donated to Lincoln students. If you have extra supplies on site, Latsch's will come pick those up and deliver them to the “Stuff The Bus” event, free of charge!
With the help of Lincoln Public Schools, we will find the students who really need help in acquiring these supplies. This project will truly make a difference in the lives of hundreds of Lincoln area children.
