Hit-and-run suspect could face more prison time

25-year-old Kinley Queen appeared in court Tuesday morning.

Her charges of leaving the scene of an injury accident, a Class IIIA felony, has been amended to a Class III felony, which carries up to 20 years in prison. The original charge carried a 5 year sentence.

Queen is accused of leaving the scene of a March 29th accident in Lincoln that killed 50-year-old William Springer. Springer was crossing Antelope Valley Parkway just south of Cornhusker Hwy. Queen turned herself in on March 31.
