Homemade Bomb Found In Central Lincoln
A homemade bomb was found Friday morning in the middle of J street near the corner of 27th. Investigators still aren't sure who built the device but they would like to find out. It was about 12-inches long. The “shell” was made from two coffee cans and it was filled with an unknown liquid. Bomb technicians responded and immediately x-rayed the device. The two cans were sealed completely, except where the hole for the wick is. While dismantling the homemade device, a bomb tech was overcome by heat and had to be taken to a nearby hospital he was treated and released.
