A group of motorcyclists are traveling coast to coast to remember fallen soldiers and pay tribute to their families.

The volunteer riders started the 15 day 3,000 mile trip in July. They’re riding through 12 different states, honoring 50 total fallen soldiers and their families.

Lincoln is one of the stops along the way.

Nearly all the volunteer riders are veterans who want to keep the memory of their lost brothers and sisters alive.

“If nothing more the families need to know that their fallen soldier has not been forgotten, and that’s our primary mission – is to visit these homes, tell mom and dad, spouse, brother and sister that they, even though he or she is gone, we’re always going to remember,” Warren Williamson, Tribute to Fallen Soldiers, said.

The ride will start up at 9 a.m. Monday outside the Courtyard Marriott. They are encouraging anyone who wants to show their support to come and ride along.

We will speak with the families being honored tomorrow. You can catch that in our 5 o’clock show.
