Houston Nutt Negotiations Ongoing

Nebraska has offered Arkansas coach Houston Nutt two million dollars to move to Lincoln and become the Huskers new head coach. However, family ties and a Razorbacks counter offer might keep Nutt in Fayetteville. A press conference was tentatively scheduled for around 6 PM in Fayetteville Friday night but it never happened. The reason- Arkansas athletic director Frank Broyles is still haggling with Nutt's agent Jimmy Sexton about money and other issues. Apparently, Nebraska upped the offer to Nutt to 2.5 million dollars when Arkansas counter offered. Nutt currently makes 800,000 dollars annually. Also, Nutt has been asking Arkansas for an associate athletic director position that could possibly turn into an A.D. position sometime in the future.
