How Much is an “A” Worth?
Some schools are putting a new meaning to the old phrase, ” it pays to do well in school.”
A new pay for performance program will reward 3,000 Washington D.C. Middle school students up to $100 every two weeks for attending classes, behaving well and passing tests.
School officials in Washington D.C say students have a lot of incentives to do the wrong thing outside of school and now they're trying to counterbalance that.
LPS officials say they have no plans for that type of program here, if they did, they say it would cost more than $12 million to pay the city's students.
